Graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a B.S. in Elementary Education in 1992 and has been involved in Child Passenger Safety since 2003. She successfully built and ran the CPS program in Polk County, Florida from 2003 – 2008. She has since been the Coalition Coordinator for the StandUP Polk Coalition, a non-profit drug prevention coalition, funded by a $625,000 Drug Free Communities Grant. Currently she is the Tobacco Policy Manager with the Florida Department of Health in Polk County and oversees a $805,000 grant. Having been in Public Health for years she is currently pursuing her Masters in Public Health. She and Victor, her husband of 25 years, have two daughters and an incredibly advanced 4 year old granddaughter with another grand on the way and they reside in Lakeland, FL.
